Being certified in Canine Behavior & Training, Pooches & Smooches can offer a unique bonus to your dog’s in-home sitting experience, as well as private training lessons with you in your home. Using only positive reinforcement methods, I teach basic obedience and manners, as well as help with certain behavioral problems.

If you have a long trip coming up, it could be a perfect time for your pup to polish up on his skills. We will dedicate 30 minutes each day to a fun training session, as well as constant practice while staying in your home. When you return from your vacation, we will go over everything your pup has learned as well as how to implement your dog’s new training. It is so refreshing to come home to a well-behaved pup!

*This option is only available in tandem with a one-week reservation, and not available during holidays.

For owners looking to be more involved in their dog’s training process, hiring a trainer can help them to learn how to effectively reward and communicate with their furry family members.

Consultation – To start, we will begin with an initial visit with you in your home so that I may observe your pup and discuss problem behaviors. We will come up with a plan to work with your dog, and schedule sessions to execute our training plan.

*Due to limited availability, there is a $45 fee for consultation visits. This fee will be applied to your training series.
